Our venue is the legendary Lee Valley VeloPark, located on Abercrombie Road, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 3AB - easily accessible by bike (obviously!), public transport and car.
History
The Lee Valley VeloPark stands as a symbol of cycling excellence and innovation, etched into the fabric of sporting history. Nestled in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, its importance reverberates through the cycling world.
Constructed for the 2012 Olympic Games, the Lee Valley VeloPark hosted track cycling events, igniting a fervour for the sport across the globe. Its state-of-the art indoor track, designed by renowned architect Ron Webb, has since become a hallowed ground for cyclists, attracting amateurs and professionals alike - including Bradley Wiggin's hour record.
Beyond track cycling, the Lee Valley VeloPark encompasses a BMX track, mountain biking trails, and road circuits, offering a comprehensive hub for all cycling disciplines.
Its legacy transcends mere infrastructure, inspiring generations of cyclists and serving as a beacon for future champions to hone their skills and chase their dreams on its iconic velodrome.
How to get there
BY TRAIN
There are multiple stations a short walk from the venue.
- Stratford Station is served by the Underground (Jubilee and Central lines), Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and Abellio Greater Anglia rail services to and from Liverpool Street, Essex and East Anglia
- Stratford International station is served by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and national rail Southeastern High Speed services to and from St Pancras International
- Hackey Wick and Leyton stations are also not far from the venue
BY BUS
Several bus routes connect to Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with the key routes being: 388, 308, 339, 97 and N205 which all stop near Lee Valley VeloPark.
BY TAXI
If you wish to depart from Stratford Station or Stratford International Station using a taxi then Westfield Stratford City have the Stratford City Cars Taxi Lounge located outside Waitrose on the lower ground Floor (near car park A).
BY BIKE
There are cycle routes connecting Lee Valley VeloPark to local residential areas as well as the cycle routes through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The venue is close Sustrans NationalCycle Network Route 1 and Cycle Superhighway CS2. Bike racks are available.
BY CAR
There is no on-site parking available. Limited car parking is available near the venue so if you can’t travel by public transport, you’ll find us located just off the A12 at Stratford. The Lee Valley VeloPark is within London’s Ultra Low Emissions Zone.
