Sprint Stars Confirmed for London 3 Day 2025

We’ve just raised the stakes. For the first time ever, sprinting is coming to the London 3 Day - bringing explosive speed, Olympic champions, and even more unmissable racing to the event. This exciting new addition will showcase some of the fastest riders on the planet and make 2025 our most thrilling edition yet.
The sprint showdown at this year’s London 3 Day just got even more exciting. Four of the sport’s biggest names are set to take to the Lee Valley VeloPark in October - bringing Olympic medals, national titles, and lightning speed to the capital.

Headlining the new additions is Matthew Richardson, the Olympic silver medallist who recently switched national allegiance from Australia to Great Britain. Richardson has already made headlines in GB colors, winning three national titles and making a strong statement at the UCI Track Champions League. After a silver and bronze haul at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Richardson now races as one of the fastest men on the planet – and fans will get to see him live in London.
Joining him is Emma Finucane, one of the most dominant riders in women’s track cycling today. The Welsh sprinter made history as world sprint champion in 2023, Olympic team sprint gold medallist in 2024, and now holds multiple British records. She returns to London alongside Olympic and World Champion Sophie Capewell, a fan favorite known for her speed, strength, and emotional journey to the top of the sport. Capewell, who won gold at the 2024 Olympics with Finucane and Katy Marchant, was also awarded an MBE for services to cycling.
Rounding out the elite quartet is rising British star Harry Ledingham-Horn, a multi-time national champion who burst onto the scene in 2023 and has since become a major presence on the GB squad. With a Nations Cup victory and European medals to his name, Ledingham-Horn is one of the most exciting young riders in the sport today.
The addition of these four sprint powerhouses sets the stage for a spectacular edition of the London 3 Day – a weekend where speed, rivalry, and Olympic-level talent will light up the velodrome. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the sport, this is a chance to witness greatness up close.
